Different Tattoos Types

- Before going in for your laser tattoo removal treatment, avoid the sun and keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight. Regularly apply TRI’s Defence Cream or SPF 30+ to the area up to fourweeks prior.
- Reduce/stop smoking up to four weeks prior.
- Avoid waxing and/or use of chemical depilatories to the area up to two weeks prior.
- Shave the area 24 hours prior to treatment.
- Ensure no fitted clothing is worn on the area where the tattoo is being removed.
- We suggest arriving with loose-fitting clothing to prevent rubbing or irritation after treatment.
- Topical anaesthetics can be applied to numb the surface or body part prior to treatment.
Aftercare & Things to avoid -
- Following your laser tattoo removal treatment, the skin should be cooled.
- We will apply a thin layer of Stratamed
- Apply Stratamed 1 – 2 times daily for at least two weeks or
- Daily until the next treatment if you are prone to scarring
- Avoid excessive heat in the skin (exercise, hot bath or shower, sauna etc. for 24- 48 hrs)
- Do not expose the treated area to the sun between appointments
- Use SPF 30+ when in the sun as well as protective clothing
- Do not pick or scratch
- The treated area may feel slightly sunburned for a couple of days and cold packs can be
- Applied as needed for comfort the treated area may remain red and raised for a few days up to a few weeks
- it’s common to develop an itching sensation during the healing process to decrease the itching, you can apply 1% Hydrocortisone cream (do NOT scratch)
In case of:
Blisters - Do not puncture them, let them reabsorb or break on their own - Keep applying Stratamed and cover with a dressing until blisters subside. - Avoid exposure to chemicals (swimming, hot tubs etc.) Crusting Keep applying Stratamed and cover with a dressing until crusting subsides - Don’t pick at it or you may cause infection or scarring.
