After Care Information
Pre treatment Care:
- Use sunblock with SPF 30+ at all times
- Inform the skin care specialist if you have a predisposition to keloid scarring.
- Do not use prescription Retin-A for two weeks prior to treatment.
- Do not use Roaccutane for at least 6 months prior to treatment.
Follow up treatment:
LED Light Therapy are recommended 2 weeks after treatment
Aftercare & Things to avoid:
- Use sunblock with SPF 30+ at all times
- Redness is a common side effect and may last a few hours to a couple of days after treatment
- Apply soothing gel as recommended once - twice a day until the skin has recovered.
- Mineral make up may be applied after the treatment
- Normal skin care routine may be resumed the following day after the treatment
For a period of 48 hours, avoid the following:
- Excessive gymnasium or cardio workout
- Sauna or hot spa / bath
- Solarium
- Swimming in a chlorinated pool
- Use of vitamin A, Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA), benzoyl peroxide or alcohol
based topical skin care
For a period of at least 1 week, avoid the following:
- Chemical peel
- Microdermabrasion
- Spray or self tanning
- IPL / laser / fractioning laser
- Infra-red light exposure
- Muscle relaxant / dermal filler injections
- Cosmetic tattooing
- Do NOT scratch, pick or abrade the treated skin as
this could result in scarring.
